Rabbit and Rodent Dentistry

Dental examination and treatment of Rabbits, GPs, chinchillas & rats.

2 hrCameron Road

Service Description

Teeth problems are common in rabbits and rodents. Continuously growing (elodont) teeth often don't wear properly, especially if malocclusions are present or if insufficient hay is eaten. We can diagnose and treat these problems with the help of endoscopy of the mouth and radiography (xrays). Computed tomography (CT) scans can be performed (at The Referral Centre - Hamilton) if required. Crown reduction and extractions with specialised rabbit/rodent equipment can be utilised to remedy any dental abnormalities.
